Exclusive Amex Offers for New Card Members

Last month we wrote about a few Amex Offers that were showing up for select new card members only. And now American Express has revealed that this is a new ongoing feature that will bring more offers for new credit card customers.

American Express said last week that some backend changes for its Amex Offers platform have enabled them to better target cardholders, including new members.

Those offers currently include Walmart, ExxonMobil, Gap and SeatGeek. You will see these offers marked as “New Card Offer” and they will often show up as early as five days from being issued a new card. This could be a new primary card, or new authorized user cards.

New eligible Card Members must be issued a new Card by October 16, 2024, and meet the offer terms and conditions, including to enroll in the offer by the offer end date, and meet qualifying purchase criteria in order to see these offers.

American Express says that it will make this capability available to more merchants moving forward, so we should see more of these offers in the near future.
