Free Admission to All National Parks on Saturday
The National Park Service offers free admission at national parks on select dates throughout the year. These free entry days are designed to encourage discovery and visitation of the country’s variety of parks. With at least one in every state, national parks are great places to visit to refresh body, mind and spirit.
For this year, there are 5 free entry days, and one of them is coming up this weekend. Here’s are all the dates for 2023:
January 16 – Martin Luther King Jr Day- April 22 – First day of National Park Week
- August 4 – Great American Outdoors Day
- September 23 – National Public Lands Day
- November 11 – Veterans Day
There are more than 400 parks available to everyone, every day. The fee-free days provide a great opportunity to visit a new place or old favorites, especially one of the more than 100 national parks that normally charge an entrance fee. The others are free any day.
The entrance fee waiver for fee-free days does not cover amenity or user fees for activities such as camping, boat launches, transportation, or special tours.
Let us know if you’re planning a visit to a national park this Saturday!
