Here are the articles for this edition:
Marriott/SPG Loophole to Lifetime Platinum Premier Status! – Points, MD
If you are close to lifetime status or if you are sitting on a mound of SPG/Marriott points and have had a lot of stays over the years then this is an awesome work around. None of that applies to me but I still like reading these things. Gives me inspiration for finding other deals.
Stacking World of Hyatt promotions in Las Vegas – The Free-quent Flyer
If you have an upcoming trip to Vegas in it may be worth looking into these offers. You could avoid those pesky Las Vegas resort fees too! Don’t forget to check out the 3 awesome restaurants you have never heard of while you are in Vegas either.
CFPB considers ending public access to bank complaints – Housing Wire
Information is power and eliminating this would hurt the consumers that the CFPB is supposed to help. I am a big fan of CFPB since they helped me get my 100K American Express Platinum sign up bonus when they were dragging their feet a few years ago. They also just levied a $500 Million dollar fine against Wells Fargo.
US granted visa-free access to China’s resort island – South China Morning Post
It is good to see China continue to open up areas to tourists. I am sure Shawn will want to check this out pretty soon!
Alaska Lounge JFK Opening April 30, 2018 – One Mile at a Time
If you happen to be flying through JFK next week be sure to check it out. It will probably be busy until the Centurion Lounge opens up!
[Targeted?] Citi 20% discount on gift card redemptions – Frequent Miler
I wish I had this offer but I don’t. Now many bloggers will tell you this is a bad deal because you get more by transferring your points to partners. And while this is true for most points I find Citi’s partners to be meh. I usually end up booking travel through their portal at 1.25 cents (probably slightly less since their prices are sometimes higher). This sale would allow me to cash out my points at 1.25 towards gift cards for stores like Target. That is essentially cash in my family! You can even go through a portal when using the gift card to get even more money out of the transaction. Something to consider if you have the offer.

They call it the Hawaii of China in the article.
The title mentioned Hawaii of China. I only read about China not Hawaii in the body of the article.
