This is a follow up to Greg’s article on which was the best option for hotel spend. As expected Hyatt comes out on top a majority of the time when you add in Ultimate Rewards as a transfer partner. Nothing can top racking up UR points with your Chase Sapphire Reserve or Ink Cash and then transferring them to Hyatt for award stays.

This would be amazing if it ends up going to other locations and other brands…come on Kroger! PDX Deals Guy tried to pick a store in the promo as his home store and then use it at his actual store but that didn’t work. So it is truly locked to the stores involved in the beta testing. Hopefully they consider it a success.

I can’t see how this ends well. I wonder if it was to get passed if anyone would pull out of the Seattle area. It may do more harm than good…a lot of large employers in the area.

Let’s talk about the Visa Infinite companion discount – The Free-quent Flyer
I agree that the Visa Infinite $100 discount on 2 cash tickets is very overblown, maybe because I believe you should (almost) ALWAYS use points. It is a marginal deal at best and just something people use to justify carrying a card (most of the time). The comments are interesting as well and worth the price of admission :).

It passed, at half the proposed amount. It’s very flawed. It’s impact will almost certainly be minimal in every sense.
