Hilton is making it difficult to redeem free weekend night certificates – Windbag Miles
Some good info on redeeming Hilton free night certs. A lot of people have these from the now shuttered Citi Hilton Reserve card. Some may have also gotten theirs from the most valuable premium card out there, the Hilton Aspire card. I went over my experience with the card’s perks earlier but I have not received my free night yet. It sounds like if you don’t have enough points in your account to cover the free night then some agents run into issues booking it.
Chase Offering 75K Mortgage Sign Up Bonuses for Cardmembers – Business Insider
Chase offered 100,000 Ultimate Rewards points to Chase Sapphire Reserve cardholders last year if they got a new mortgage from Chase. The promotion worked so well that they will be releasing a similar offer to Freedom and United cardholders. If you were planning on getting a mortgage soon you may wanna check Chase out. Make sure their rates are competitive first though!
Former Revel casino moving toward reopening as Ocean Resort – AP News
The largest hotel in Atlantic City is reopening as the Ocean Resort and it will be affiliated with the Hyatt hotel chain. You should be able to book the hotel through Hyatt’s site even though they will not own or operate it. I envision it being a similar partnership with MGM Casino properties. The hotel should be opening this summer.
