The Offer
Purchase 120,000 Elite Qualifying Points by December 31, 2025, and you’ll secure an upgrade to Diamond Elite status through the end of 2026. Plus, those points can be put toward things like Reward Nights, exclusive experiences, and gift cards from our catalog.

Key Terms
- This Offer is available to IHG One Rewards members for qualifying purchases of IHG One Rewards points made during the period from 12:00 AM ET December 16, 2025 and 11:59 PM ET December 31, 2025 inclusive (“Offer Period”). Elite Qualifying Points purchased are not refundable.
- A member may only make a singular points purchase under this promotion.
- Purchased EQPs (Elite Qualifying Points) will count toward a Member’s Year-To-Date EQP balance.
- The Member will have the opportunity to either maintain their current Diamond Elite status or upgrade from Platinum Elite to Diamond Elite status. Conclusion
IHG normally sells points for 0.5 cents each. In order to get Diamond Elite status through this promotion, you need to purchase 120,000 points. That will cost you $800 after the 20% discount when using your IHG credit card. So that’s an additional $200 that you’re paying compared to the normal price.
Depending on your valuation of IHG points, you would be buying one year of Diamond Elite status for $200 to $300. This will only make sense if you have a decent amount of IHG stays planned for 2026.
