Hertz Offers Free Rentals to Healthcare Workers in NYC
Many business are closed around the country, but essential services are still open even in the hardest hit areas during the coronavirus pandemic. The most difficult job right now s for healthcare workers, with many hospitals underfunded and running out of supplies. But they still have to show up to work.
Now Hertz is trying to help those workers in New York City with a free, month-long vehicle rental through April 30. They can book for as little as a week or up to a month. To take advantage of the offer, you’ll need a valid medical ID, email address with healthcare domain, and driver’s license. You can see the promotion here.

- Log into Gold Plus Rewards and book business at one of the locations listed below.
- Answer our call. We will reach out to confirm your reservation details.
Offer Terms
One-time rental subject to availability. Rental length is up to one month from date of pick-up and is valid until April 30. Applicable car classes include economy, compact, mid-size and full-size cars and compact, small and regular SUVs. Driver must present valid medical ID and driver’s license at reservation pick-up. Driver responsible for re-fueling, tolls, and any incurred damage.

A great gesture from Hertz that should really help healthcare workers. In NYC it’s a good idea to avoid buses and subways if possible, so having a car to get to work is huge. Maybe we’ll see them extend this to other cities as well.
