Did You Know Hyatt Credit Cards Earn Bonus Points at SLH Properties?
World of Hyatt launched a partnership with Small Luxury Hotels (SLH) late last year. In January more hotels were added. World of Hyatt members can earn and redeem points plus get elite benefits at these new properties.
World of Hyatt Earning and Redemption for SLH Stays
- Hyatt members earn 5 Base Points per $1 USD spent on eligible room revenue
- World of Hyatt members will receive their standard tier Bonus Points on eligible room revenue spend (10% Discoverist, 20% Explorist, 30% Globalist)
- Qualifying nights at SLH hotels will count toward earning World of Hyatt elite-tier status
- World of Hyatt members can redeem points to use for free night awards at SLH hotels; each SLH property has been categorized into Hyatt’s existing hotel award chart
Earning with Hyatt Cards
But did you know that you can also earn extra points for booking with a Hyatt credit card?
World of Hyatt credit card holders can earn 4X points on eligible spend at participating SLH locations. If you have the old Hyatt Card you earn 3x points instead. That’s in addition to the 5 Base Points per dollar mentioned above.
Conclusion
The new earning rate for Hyatt cardholders brings SLH in line with standard World of Hyatt hotels.

I stayed at the SLH Plymouth South Beach on a cash rate and it also didn’t earn bonus points. I called Chase and they did make an adjustment. I’ve heard of other SLH locations not triggering the bonus points even though it is a stated benefit in the terms of the card.
I just completed the stay in a SLH booked through a Hyatt web-site, and Chase refused to give bonus points with Hyatt credit card. I used points to book the room, so the charges were for dining and transfer cost were put on the room. Maybe that has something to do with it? But Chase told me my charges weren’t eligible.
