Hyatt’s Latest Promo Would Have Been Amazing Any Other Year…
Update 7/18/20: It appears that Globalists are getting free parking on paid stays during the promo. This would make sense since they normally get free parking on award stays. With cash rates so low this could change the numbers on a booking in the favor of paying vs an award stay. Thanks to David from our Diamond Lounge for sharing.
Hyatt launched a new promo today, like they do pretty much every summer. And it would have been an amazing one…any other year. It would have made my status chase 25% cheaper, but since this is 2020 I don’t have a ton of interest in it. It will be useful for some for sure though so let’s get into the details.

Up To 25% of Points Back
The headliner of the 3 pronged promotion is the 15%-25% points rebate you get on award stays. Normally World of Hyatt will run a 10% back promotion during the summer for cardholders but this year they are being cordial to all Hyatt members.
- Get 15% if you are a World of Hyatt member and don’t have a credit card.
- Get 25% back if you carry either the Hyatt Visa or World of Hyatt card.
- Maximum 30,000 Bonus Points per transaction may be earned under this offer for non cardholders. 60,000 Bonus Points per transaction can be earned for cardholders.
- Register by September 1 and stay by October 8, 2020.

Free Parking on Award Stays
This one is pretty useless for Globalist members or anyone frequenting Hyatt Place hotels etc. but if you have a trip to Hawaii planned etc. it can really add up.
- Get free parking on award or points + cash stays when you bill it back to your room.

Triple Points On Dining
I put this bonus offer as almost worthless since what will you actually earn 3X on. I have already shared in the past how Hyatt games people out of points for on property dining. You have no way to know what will and what won’t count and the fact that it is usually priced at a premium makes it a non starter for me. So you can hope for this promo to work correctly but I wouldn’t plan on it.

Final Thoughts
Hyatt is trying to get people back in their hotels and this is a pretty tempting offer. If you have a Hyatt hotel nearby that you can take a nice staycation at then this may work perfectly for you. For me I may use it to put some family up when they visit for our upcoming trip but I doubt I will use it much.
If you do plan on using it then these are some great Hyatt hotels in the US to take advantage of the offer at.

Anybody have any links that talk about free parking on paid stays? Thank You for this new update.
Thanks for the announcement. Do you know if stays booked prior to registration will count. A few days ago I booked several nights at Park Hyatt NY for August stay. Would love to get 25% of those miles back. Thanks
In the past they have counted but if there is still award space no harm in canceling and rebooking to be sure.
I reached out to Hyatt today and the rep confirmed that there is no need to re-book, just make sure to register. I’m going to keep the email for a paper trail in case things don’t work out.
Nice swimming pool picture. Where is that?
First one is Daytona Beach at the Hyatt Place, one with the kids is Hyatt Regency Orlando (one attached to the convention center).
