Book Cheap IHG Activities and Earn 1,000 Bonus Points
Bougie Miles posted today about an easy way to earn very cheap IHG points by booking activities. If you go into your IHG Rewards Club account, go to the Partner Offers section and find the option to book “IHG Trip Extras”. IHG Trip Extras is powered by Viator.
There’s many activities listed, but the interesting part is that some prices are super cheap and you get bonus IHG points for booking. There are more than 200,000 bookable activities to choose from. You can plan in advance or book on-the-go. Some activities cost just a $1 or even less, and you get 1,000 IHG points. And these are posting as elite qualifying points.

- Offer available for purchases made before 11:59 PM ET December 31, 2019.
- Points will be awarded within 4-6 weeks of the completion of the activity.
- To qualify, activity must be booked through this site.
- Canceling your transaction will invalidate this offer.
Conclusion
Take a look and let us know if you find any interesting activities, or just super cheap ones. Earning 1,000 points for each activity is a pretty sweet deal, but it might not last long.

After doing a few excursions to Mexico City this week, I also got the error message.I called Chase, they tell me they never denied any transactions, then I called Viator, they only wanted me to book with them – meaning no 1k points – then I called IHG – after a couple of transfers I was told to try different credit IHG card, or try doing it from cell phone, or another computer or incognito. I tried them all and none worked.Then I thought wait 24 hours – So I will try again later today.
the same thing happened to me..none of my cards worked for it. Maybe this trick is already dead now……….
It looks like this may have gone bad already. I booked two yesterday and when I tried to book the same two today it keeps telling me my credit card is bad (I tried different credit cards and still get the same response and I know the cards are fine).
The cheapest I have been able to find is $5. Is that a good price?
Boston has something for $2.50 A “good price” depends on if you’re planning to use it or not, I suppose.
Hmm. I just went into my account. There was no “Partner Offers” and definitely nothing that you wrote about under the regular “offers”. I’m platinum elite. Any suggestions?
I didn’t log in initially at all. Just click on the link above in blue that says book “IHG Trip Extras” and you should be able to see it. That worked for me.
Where did you find activities for $1 or less?
Wow, thanks for the heads up. We will be going to Mexico City for 2 weeks this coming Saturday. Found a $2 entry to a museum. Going to book it – Easy 1k IHG Points. Will look for other easy 1K IHG Points once there.
