IHG Point Breaks Spring 2017 List
IHG Point Breaks represent one of the best overall values in award redemptions, although the list isn’t quite as generous as it once was. Still, for just 5,000 IHG Rewards points per night, it represents great value at participating hotels. The list of participating hotels changes every few months and lately more and more of the properties are on the low end and/or in less convenient locations.
Years ago the list would include some nice Crowne Plaza and Intercontinental Hotels, but that generally isn’t the case anymore. As you will see below, the IHG Point Breaks Spring 2017 list consists of mostly Holiday Inn and Holiday Inn Express properties. These can still be great values, especially if they coincide with current plans.
Point Breaks are limited quantity and the few decent properties often sellout or fill up with the promotion. This IHG Point Breaks Spring 2017 list is good for bookings through April 30, 2017. Each member is limited to two bookings per property during the promotional period. Booking is already live, so if you have any properties in mind, better hurry.
Analysis & Full List
This time around we only see two Intercontinental properties, InterContinental Maracaibo, Venezuela, and InterContinental Real Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. 5K a night for properties that normally charge 25K and 30K is a steal.
There’s also a few Crowne Plaza hotels. Crowne Plaza Bratislava offers good value in a good location for example. There’s 8 more Crowne Plaza properties in the list. Other than that there are mostly Holiday Inn and Holiday Inn Express properties scattered about.
