Improved Chase Sapphire Preferred Offer Coming Soon Online
The Chase Sapphire Preferred credit card is quite popular for good reason. It has good earning rates on select categories, benefits, and often a very good welcome bonus. You can read our review for more information.
Currently the public offer online is only 60,000 Ultimate Rewards points, which is not very exciting. However, you can possibly do better if you can visit a Chase branch. And if that’s not an option, an improved offer could soon become available online as well.
In-Branch Offer
We wrote about this offer in the past, and there are more data points of people being able to get it at a Chase branch. It’s worth checking your local branch to see if it is available.
- Earn 80,000 Bonus Points after you spend $4,000 on purchases with your new Sapphire Preferred card within the first 3 months of account opening.
- Annual Fee: $95 (waived for first year)
New Offer Coming Online Soon
A similar offer will probably become available online as well which makes it easier to apply for everyone. The date was revealed by Chase reps during a phone call, and it’s April 14. However, the online offer will not be as good as the one in-branch as the annual will not be waived.
- Earn 80,000 Bonus Points after you spend $4,000 on purchases with your new Sapphire Preferred card within the first 3 months of account opening.
- Annual Fee: $95
Conclusion
We have seen a 100,000 points offer in the past, so this will not be the best offer ever. But it is still a great signup bonus for a very good credit card. If you can get the offer with the waived annual fee, then that’s easily a value of $1,000 or more for the first year.
Plus with the Chase Sapphire Preferred you can earn 5X on Chase Travel purchases, 3X on dining, select streaming and online grocery, and 2X points on other travel purchases. Recently a $50 annual hotel credit was added as well.
