Improved Offers for New and Existing Aeroplan Cardholders

Chase has announced limited time offers for the Aeroplan Credit Card, which can earn you extra points. There are two offers available, for both new and existing cardholders, in celebration of Aeroplan’s 40th anniversary. Let’s see the details.

New Cardmembers

  • Current Offer: Earn 70,000 bonus points after you spend $3,000 in the first 3 months of account opening.  
  • Enhancement: Apply and get approved for your first Aeroplan card from July 8th – July 17th, and earn 40% bonus points on purchases for 40 days on up to $40,000 spent. First purchase must be made by August 31st.

Existing Cardmembers

  • 4 days only! Celebrate 40 years with 40% bonus points. Register to earn 40% bonus points on every purchase you make from July 14 – July 17 with your Chase Aeroplan® Card on up to $40,000 in spend.

How it Works

Chase Aeroplan cardholders earn 3 points on Grocery, Dining, & Air Canada® purchases and 1 point on all other purchases.

With the added 40% bonus you will earn 4.2X and 1.4X points on these purchases, for a limited time. The 40% bonus does not apply to the welcome bonus.

Conclusion

Aeroplan has several other deals to celebrate its 40th anniversary, but these two offers are the most interesting.

If you already have the card than you can hopefully time your purchases within the promotion period to earn even more points.

The same goes for those looking to get the card, as they can earn even more when applying by July 17.
