JetBlue Mosaic Status Update

JetBlue Mosaic Status Update

JetBlue took longer than its peers to address the coronavirus pandemic as far as status for its members goes. Most people don’t have an immediate need to fly, so JetBlue is making changes to support TrueBlue and Mosaic members when traveling is an option once again. The airlines is extending Mosaic status, making it easier to earn and even gives you the option to gift it to someone for a full year. You can also earn double points on new booking. Let’s look at all this in more detail.

Extending Mosaic Status

All current Mosaic members will have their travel perks extended through the end of 2021. This applies to all Mosaic members with status set to expire on 12/31/20.

Give the Gift of Mosaic

If you are a Mosaic member, you now have the option to Mosaic status to someone else. They will enjoy all Mosaic travel perks for one year, whether they fly with you or not.

Once you decide who you deserves this gift, grab their TrueBlue number, and file the form here by 6/1/20.  The recipient will enjoy Mosaic travel perks from 6/15/20–6/15/21.

Reduced Mosaic Qualification

We’ve temporarily reduced the usual threshold to qualify for Mosaic by 50% for this year:

  • 7,500 Mosaic qualifying points (vs. the usual 15,000 points)
  • 6,000 Mosaic qualifying points and 15 segments (vs. the usual 12,000 points and 30 segments)

Mosaic customers will continue to receive an award of 15,000 bonus TrueBlue points upon qualification.

Double TrueBlue Points

TrueBlue members will earn double base points on qualifying bookings for JetBlue-operated flights booked 5/14/20–6/15/20, for travel 5/14/20–1/4/21. For Blue Basic fares, that’s 2 points per dollar (vs. the usual 1 point). For Blue fares and above, including Mint, that’s 6 points per dollar (vs. the usual 3 points).

No pre-registration is required to earn the extra points.
