JetBlue’s Book With Confidence Pledge
The coronavirus is over taking the news coverage everywhere. And as it continues to spread people are nervous about making travel plans and about their future travel itineraries. JetBlue has a solution for that with their confidence pledge. They are combating the coronavirus with free flight cancellations and flight changes. Let’s take a look at the terms.
Book With Confidence Pledge Terms
To that end, we are waiving change and cancellation fees for all JetBlue fares—that includes Blue, Blue Basic, Blue Plus, Blue Extra and Mint—for customers who book over the next two weeks (2/27-3/11) for travel completed by 6/1/20. If you need to cancel your travel plans, we’ll credit the amount in the form of a travel credit that’s valid for one year.

Final Thoughts
This is being sent to all JetBlue frequent flyer program members via email. I wouldn’t be surprised to see other airlines follow suit or for these dates to get pushed out in the future. I am sure they have noticed a dip in future bookings and are betting that travel will not be interrupted in the future. It is a smart gamble from a business standpoint since they would most likely offer free cancellations if the virus spreads to the US anyway. If you had any late spring, early summer travel plans and JetBlue has a competitive price then this deal may be the way to go. Southwest is another great option because of their very favorable cancellation policies.

Just cancelled for one in our party for ressies that were booked last fall. I guess no way for the fee to be waived in this case
Nope 🙁 – could try for a good will gesture though
