Fuel Points
At Kroger 100 fuel points equals $.10 off per gallon of gas. Each dollar spent on gift cards under the 4X promotion will earn you 4 points. For example, a $25 gift card purchase will earn 100 fuel points and $.10 off per gallon. Kroger does have a few limits, although they may vary depending on your area. In my area the discount applies on up to 35 gallons and only 1,000 fuel points ($1 off per gallon) can be redeemed at a time. Fuel points generally expire at the end of the next month after they are earned.
Conclusion
The normal rate is 2x, so this promo will net you double the fuel points. Product and offer may not be available in all states so always verify first if your location has the promo and make sure you load the offer and use your Kroger card in order to receive the fuel points.
One offer only gives you 4x on smaller denominations but the general 4X offer has worked in the past even for fixed-denomination Visa/MC/Amex gift cards. It’s best to test it out with one purchase though. Just don’t forget to use a card that will earn you most points at supermarkets.
This could get you free cell service as well. For every 100 fuel points you get a dollar cell service credit when you use Kroger’s phone service.

so if you buy 2 $100 and 1 $50 you get $1 off of up to 35 gallons of fuel…fees on cards come close to $21, not to mention time and effort to liquidate…unless you have 2 tanks on your truck you also have to wait until 2 cars are close to empty in order to maximize gas discount…all this, for less than $15 savings…I may be spoiled, but except when fuel points were being given on variable load giftcards (a few years ago, before they caught on)…it’s just not worth it.
