Meijer’s Mperks program has a new gift card sale. The sale runs until May 19th, 2018. The offer is for $5 off your next visit when you buy a $50 gift card. There are some exclusions but most 3rd party gift cards are included.
Offer Details
Here are the details for the offer:
- Runs from 5/6/ to 5/19/2018
- Can earn the reward up to 10x per customer (account?)
- Get $5 off of every $50 gift card purchase
- Excluded gift cards
- Meijer Gift Cards
- iTunes
- Gaming gift cards
- Sling TV
- Google Play
- HBO Now
- Hulu
- CBS All Access
- Spotify
- Amazon (I don’t think they even carry these)
- Visa, Amex, and Mastercard gift cards
The $5 rebate will be added to your account for your next shopping trip. It will not work on gift cards but it will work on pretty much everything else in the store.
Maximizing the Offer
Best Buy gift cards are probably the best option. You can resell them for up to 90%, depending on your reselling relationship.
Use any card that earns a grocery bonus when paying, the American Express Blue Cash Preferred or American Express Everyday Preferred are probably the best credit card options. This quarter you can also use your Chase Freedom or Discover it card.
But the best option would be if you have some discounted Meijer gift cards lying around from previous eBay deals. Remember that Meijer gift cards are some of the best on the market!
Conclusion
This is a pretty solid offer that can be profitable for some or great for personal use, like Target gift cards. After buying $500 in gift cards you should have $50 in credit on your account to use in store on a future visit.
In the past I have been able to buy larger gift cards and get the full amount of the credit applied. I would get $25 in credit for a $250 gift card etc.
