Membership Rewards to Hilton Honors Transfer Bonus

Membership Rewards to Hilton Honors Transfer Bonus

American Express has a new transfer bonus to Hilton Honors points. This can be a good deal for those with a redemption in mind, but it depends what kind of value you would get for the booking. You will be able to redeem Membership Rewards Points by transferring them to Hilton Honors Points at a rate of up to 1:2.6 Points. The regular transfer ratio is 1:2, so this is a boost of 30%. This offer lasts until April 30, 2023.

How to Transfer Membership Rewards to Hilton Honors

American Express makes transferring Membership Rewards to their partners easy. To transfer your points, simply login to your Membership Rewards account and click on the transfer option under “travel”. You will see all of the transfer partners listed and the Hilton Honors 30% transfer bonus will be automatic. Keep in mind that you will need to link your Hilton account before you can transfer points and the minimum you can transfer is 1,000 points.

Analysis

To decide whether this is a good deal or not, we first need to look at the value of each currency. Membership Rewards points are flexible and can be redeemed in many ways. That versatility makes them pretty valuable, especially when transferring points to airline partners.

But there’s no fixed value for either, so this promotion can be a good deal for some people and a bad deal for others. There’s also a maximum transfer of 3,000,000 points, which is more than enough for most most possible redemptions.

Conclusion

This is a good deal for anyone who was planning on using Hilton points for a specific redemption. Or for anyone who uses the program regularly and will have a redemption option in the near future. It’s also a great option for topping off your account, since you can transfer as many points as you need, in 1,000/2,600 points increments.

It’s worth noting that this transfer bonus has been as high as a 50% in the past.

  1. Not bad, but I will wait for the 40% or 50% Hilton Honors Transfer Bonus from Amex since I have no immediate need for them. Also, because Hilton has been devaluing their points a lot over the last 12-18 months!

    Cheers,
