United & Mileage Plus Shopping Name Your Destination Sweepstakes

The Mileage Plus Shopping portal has two promotions going on right now.  A name your destination sweepstakes plus a spending bonus of sorts.  The sweepstakes doesn’t cost anything to enter and can net you 100,000 miles and $2500.  The spending bonus nets you 500 United Miles after $50 in spend, pretty simple.

  • Promotion ends September 14, 2018 at 11:59 PM EST
  • Grand Prize – 100,000 miles & $2500
  • 3 First prizes – 20,000 miles each

Methods of Entry

  • Register for the Sweeps – 1 entry
  • Install the MileagePlus Shopping Browser button – 100 entries
  • Opt into marketing emails – 100 entries
  • 50 entries per $50 purchase when using the portal.  Up to 2 times daily (100 entries per day)

They also have an ongoing offer that members can earn 500 bonus miles when they install the Mileage Plus Shopping button and spend $50 through 8/31.

Conclusion

For big portal spenders you can rack up a lot of entries for the sweepstakes.  Make sure the payout makes sense at cashbackmonitor first though.  I would say the button offer is worth the small effort and should stack with the sweepstakes for extra entries.
