New Amazon No Rush Delivery Offer
Amazon has always offered a little incentive to select no rush delivery if you are an Amazon Prime member. No rush shipping probably saves Amazon a lot of money so they are willing to give a little back as an enticement to use it.
I am sure you have seen them in the past. A $5 pantry credit and $1 off Amazon Digital videos have been popular ones to show up. I try to use them whenever I can since the items get to me in 2-3 days most of the time anyways. There have been times I have split my orders into separate parts to maximize the discount.
While I was checking out yesterday a new one showed up and I think it is pretty awesome, especially if it is stack-able.
New Offer
I had placed two items in my cart and went to check out and this offer popped up:
Get a $5 reward for a print book. You can find the terms on the offer here. It seems like it covers any book sold and shipped by Amazon (which is a lot of them). If these stack like the digital video credits do then this could mean a completely free book every few orders!
After I selected it and submitted the order I canceled one item and then reordered it to see if I could get it to show up twice. I received an Amazon digital video credit instead. So I tried another order with 2 items later and the $5 book credit showed up again. It may only be eligible for multiple item orders?
UPDATE: I got it again today when I ordered my Children’s Place gift card so I guess the 2 item theory is out the window.
Conclusion
This is an impressive offer from Amazon. And having just finished the Ready Player One book (great read) I am in need of some new material, perfect timing! I hope the credits stack and that I continue to get this offer to show up.
Have you seen this offer? Have you been able to redeem it yet? If yes how did it work out?
Do you think this is now the best no rush shipping offer now? Let me know in the comments!

does the no rush shipping option ever deliver before the mentioned delivery due date?
Yes it sometimes comes sooner.
I never get the “no rush” offers to show up unless I have at least two items in my cart. I’ll always get a filler item for under 50 cents to make them trigger.
Interesting – good tip!
Was looking forward to my digital credit and the book one showed up instead. I was disappointed, as all my books are digital now. But then I thought I may be able to buy children’s books for my granddaughter. Now I’m excited to earn as many of these as possible!
Perfect! I was thinking I could buy books for free and sell them on eBay. Media mail shipping is so cheap lol.
I would love the digital video – does that credit go towards movie (streaming) rentals and purchases?
Do the offers stack? So if you got it three times, could you buy something for $15 that qualifies and get it for free?
Yup the digital goes towards rental and purchases of amazon instant video purchases…I do like that one!
That is what I need to find out – I am not sure if the books one only allows one $5 credit per item or if they stack. The video one’s stack but I have yet to earn the Books one so I’m not sure.
I have ordered at 10:00 am using Prime & had my item (not groceries) delivered that afternoon! Something, finally, that works better than it even promises.
I spend so much time these days having to correct things companies do wrong the first time that Amazon, even without Prime, is a breath of fresh air.
I know DDG always gets his Fire Tablets a day before I do Grrrr….the perks of living in NYC I guess.
I refuse to do “prime” but I have had walmart offer slower shipping discounts in the past. Once, it was about $2 on a $50 order and none of what I was ordering was critical so I took it.
Interesting I have never received an offer from Walmart – I would take it for sure!
Amazon Prime is a life saver with little kids 🙂 – I don’t even really care about the shipping aspect lol
