Hyatt Amex Offer
As reported by Doctor of Credit, American Express is back with another great Amex Offer. It appears to be highly targeted, but I found it on my EveryDay and Blue Cash Everyday cards (and some, but not all, authorized user versions of these cards). Let’s take a look.
The Offer
Spend $200 or more and get $60 back as a statement credit. Good between today and 12/31/2016. Single use per card. Here are all the terms and details:
Gift Cards
As you can see, both gift cards and e-gift cards are technically excluded. In past Hyatt Amex Offers, I have found that a gift card purchased at the front desk of a Hyatt hotel has triggered this offer. This is not a certainty, but let us know in the comments if you try it and it works for you.
How to Load
This offer is targeted and can only be loaded via the American Express website. I’m not sure if only specific types of cards are targeted, however I received it on my EveryDay and Blue Cash Everyday cards. If you want to load the offer to multiple cards linked to the same login, use the multiple tab trick.
Analysis
This is a great offer to save up to 30% off your Hyatt stays between now and the end of the year. Or you might be able to lock in the discount via purchasing gift cards. This could be a potentially great deal to stack with other Hyatt promotions, especially if you are like me and making a run at re-qualifying for Diamond status.
Were you targeted? On which products? Let us know in the comments!

Prg not spg
T&C are a little ambiguous. This could be 2 stays totaling $200+ within the required dates?
Amex clarified that more than 1 stay totaling $200+ during the relevant time period will count.
Yeah, IIRC, if an Amex Offer doesn’t allow for multiple spends to count toward the same offer, it is usually explicit in the offer terms. Otherwise it is allowed.
1/3 on spg
never tried online GC but does anyone know? I know front desk works but depends on how the POS is coded for your purchases. its been noted it depends on the property. that kinda sucks. also online, the vendor does NOT look like its Hyatt direct. never did online so not sure. hopefully someone has experience and u can see the MCC for online GC.
Good point that it could be POS dependent. But I’ve definitely had success at the front desk (of a Hyatt Place). I have serious doubts that online will work, but if anyone tries – let us know!
yea man. i think i will just try out different Hyatt locations until it triggers. i want to stack this with 20% Bonus on Hyatt Points for Las Vegas Stays Through December 29
