New Amex Offer for Construction Materials Stores
American Express has a new Amex Offer for select business cardmembers, offering up to ab extra 3% back at construction material and hardware stores. It includes stores like Lowe’s and Home Depot, so it can be useful for home improvement projects or even gift card purchases.
The Offer
This Amex Offer works for qualifying purchases made directly with U.S. construction material and hardware suppliers. There are at least two versions:
- $75 credit after spending $2,500. Limit 3 credits (total of $225).
- $150 credit after spending $5,500. Limit 3 credits (total of $450).

- Excludes suppliers of home furnishings, industrial machinery and equipment, equipment rental, motors and generators, or any construction contracting/services.
- Not valid for construction supplies purchased at retail stores, superstores and warehouse clubs.
Conclusion
This offer was sent out via email yesterday, but you may also find it in the Amex Offers section of your Amex business credit cards. I was targeted on my Blue Business Plus card for the $75 credit offer after spending $2,500. That’s an extra 3% cash back on a card that already earns 2X points on all purchases.
