New Amex Offers
Check your American Express credit cards for some new Amex Offers that were released today. You can save at Qantas, Verizon Wireless, Wayfair and Dining. Let’s take a look at each one, and let me know if there’s others worth mentioning.
Qantas
Get a one-time $200 statement credit by using your enrolled Card to spend a minimum of $1,000+ in one or more transactions directly with Qantas Airways online at qantas.com by 12/31/2019. Flights must originate in US and be charged in USD.
Key Terms
- Limit 1 enrolled Card per Card Member across all American Express offer channels.
- Offer valid for purchases made directly with Qantas Airways only through US website qantas.com or US mobile app.
- Flights must originate in US and be charged in USD.
- Not valid for purchases by phone, at terminals, lounges, or on-board flights.
- Purchases such as additional baggage and seat selection fees are included if purchased with initial booking and appears on the same receipt as the flight.
- Excludes (i) all purchases with third parties, affiliates, partners, (ii) travel insurance, car rentals, hotels, airport transfers, tours, activities, (iii) gift vouchers, vacation purchases, merchandise, (iv) Bid Now Upgrades, The Qantas Club membership & lounge access fees, and purchase of Qantas Points.
- Offer is non-transferable. Limit of 1 statement credit per Card Member.
Verizon Wireless
Get a one-time $100 statement credit (or 10,000 Membership Rewards points) by using your enrolled Card to make a single Verizon Wireless purchase of $500 or more at a Verizon company store or online at verizonwireless.com/stores by 12/31/2019.

- Purchases made at Verizon-authorized retailers or franchise locations are excluded.

Wayfair
Get 2,500 additional Membership Rewards points (or $25 statement credit) one-time by using your enrolled Card to spend a minimum of $125+ in one or more eligible transactions online at wayfair.com by 12/31/2019.
Key Terms
- Offer valid on US website only at wayfair.com, jossandmain.com, allmodern.com, birchlane.com or perigold.com and via Wayfair mobile app.
- Not valid on purchases shipped outside of the US. Purchases may fall outside of the offer period in some cases due to a delay in merchants submitting transactions to us or if the purchase date differs from the date you made the transaction (for example, the purchase date for online orders may be the shipping date).
- If American Express does not receive information that identifies your transaction as qualifying for the offer, you will not receive the additional points. For example, your transaction will not qualify if it is not made directly with the merchant.
- In addition, in most cases, you may not receive the additional Membership Rewards points if your transaction is made with an electronic wallet or through a third party.
Dining
Get a $10 statement credit by using your enrolled Card to make a single purchase of $10 or more at any business within the “Dining” Category on the Shop Small Map by 11/30/19. You can find list here.

I had the Verizon offer but now it disappeared. I spoke with a Amex rep and was told that these are on a first come first serve basis and if the max. number of people applied the offer to one of their cards it will be deactivated and disappear for all other members. I’m sorry, but that is just a very shitty way of doing business. With all what Amex has been doing the past year (airlines fee credits not working for GCs, claw back of offers, credits and referral bonuses), I am just being pushed more and more towards Chase because Amex is forgetting that they need to be friendly to their customers to retain business.
