New Chase Freedom Card Coming Soon
Chase currently offers two Freedom credit cards, Freedom Flex and Freedom Unlimited. Both cards are popular no-fee products with good welcome bonuses, especially Freedom Flex which also offers 5% rotating categories.
Now a third Chase Freedom card could be coming soon. The information comes for a trademark filing by Chase back in February. The bank trademarked “Chase Freedom Rise” on February 1st, but no other details are revealed in the filing. We do not know when this card will become available either.
The two current Freedom cards are already good products with great earning rates and no annual fees. One is offers simple 1.5X earning on all purchases and the other 1X everywhere and 5X on select categories. Plus there are popular 3x categories such as dining and drugstores.
I doubt the new Freedom Rise would be an improvement compared to those two products. Instead it could possibly be just a way for Chase to bring in the current Slate Edge card into the Freedom family.
