Plenti Points Expire Today, Use Them Before They’re Gone

American Express launched the Plenti rewards program back in 2015. It sounded like a good idea at the time and it was a promising new idea. One type of reward that could be earned at redeemed at different merchants. American Express even launched a Plenti credit card later on and made Plenti a transfer partner for Membership Rewards.

They started with a handful of merchants at first, and then added a few more. But the program quickly lost steam and last year a couple of merchants dropped out. In December Plenti was removed as a partner for transfers from Membership Rewards and the Plenti credit cards are no longer available. And soon it became clear that the program was nearing its end. In April they made the official announcement that Plenti would end on July 10th.

Well July 10th is today, and hopefully you do not have many Plenti points in your account. Today is the last day to use them. You can use your points at Exxon and Mobil gas stations, Rite Aid stores and BI-LO, Fresco y Más, Harveys, and Winn-Dixie supermarkets.

If you are left with any points after today, at least Exxon Mobil is promising to match your Plenti points in their new rewards program. It starts on 7/11/2018.

Conclusion

It was fun while it lasted. It was a good idea that was badly executed in my opinion. But during these three years they had tons of promotions for lots of savings and I’m sure some people will be sad to see Plenti disappear.

Share any good/bad experiences you had with Plenti! And tell us if you have any points left and how you plan to use them.
