Redeem Hilton Free Night Certificates At All Inclusive Properties

The Hilton Aspire comes with a free weekend night certificate and the American Express Surpass allows you to earn a free weekend night after 15k in yearly spend. One of the best ways to redeem Hilton free night certificates is at all inclusive properties. Especially since you’re essentially having the certificate cover food, drinks, activities and your room. There is a nice little perk that unlocks when you use your Hilton FNCs at their all inclusive resorts too. Let’s take a look.

A Positive Change With Hilton AI Resorts

Positive? Did he just say a positive change? That never happens with loyalty programs! Well, hold onto your britches.

In the past Hilton would have several all inclusive resorts on their official list of exclusions. That is a list of hotels where using a free night certificate is not allowed. There used to be more Hilton all inclusive resorts on the list than there were off it. I am talking like a 2 to 1 ration.

That is no more though. Now it looks like ALL the AI resorts are NOT on the list. I even did my best to find the SLH resorts that are all inclusive too.

Free Night Certificate Eligible All-Inclusive Properties

Here are a list of all of the Hilton all inclusive hotels where you can use a free night certificate:

I am glad to see this list expand so much over the last few years. That is even more true if you include SLH partner properties (down below).

SLH Hotels That Appear All Inclusive

These all inclusive resorts are harder to track down, and SLH hotels are changing a little more rapidly versus traditional Hilton hotels, but here are some potential options:

There may be more, but SLH all inclusive resorts are not the easiest thing to track down on searches. These also may just include some meals, or the rooms on points may not be all inclusive. It is best to reach out to the hotel before booking. Also pay attention to the cancellation terms for some of these hotels – they can be rough.

Another Hidden Perk Of Using An FNC At Hilton AI Resorts

Update: It looks like this may have been changed recently and they are charging fees. It does seem to be very YMMV so far on if people are charged, but I wouldn’t count on it now. If you have a recent free night certificate booking experience with a family, please leave a comment down below.

There is one more thing I should mention about redeeming Hilton free night certificates at all inclusive properties. Normally when you use points for an AI resort it only covers two people. If you are bringing kids with you then you normally need to pay more points, more money or book a second room.

With Hilton free night certificates they don’t seem to try to extract that extra cash. At least they didn’t on my friend’s recent stay. That is a HUGE perk of these things if it works like that everywhere. Let me know down below if that was your experience using a free night certificate at a Hilton all inclusive too.

    • Thanks Larry – I will update. Looks like they may have additional packages you can buy and maybe that is why it was pinging AI

  1. Game changer. We love and have stayed 3x at Grand Hyatt Playa but will add a day or two to burn our free nights at the Hilton all-inclusive a 5 min walk from the GH. I know the property, used to be another all inclusive. Plus there’s a place to get $20/hr massages on the beach a stone’s throw from this new Hilton (and 2 stone’s throw from GH). The massage place has about 15 beds on the sand and is v popular with those in the know.

    • ah nvm, my adblocker was blocking the links. Are these referral/affiliate links or something?

I think this would’ve been more useful if the article examined average room rates during peak/shoulder seasons to determine whether or not they are a good use of the free night cert in the first place
