Sam’s Club Amex Offer

Sam’s Club Amex Offer

The holiday season is almost upon us and hopefully that means that we will also see a bunch of amazing Amex Offers come as well. While that remains to be seen, the first very good offer has surfaced. Let’s take a look.

The Offer

Get a one-time $15 statement credit by using your enrolled Card to spend a minimum of $30+ in one of more transactions at samsclub.com by 1/31/2018.

Key Terms

  • Expires 1/31/2018
  • Offer available only online and through app (excluding the Scan and Go app)
  • Not valid on purchases made in-club, phone orders or new memberships
  • Excludes prescription and photo purchases made through mobile app, Sam’s Club fuel and third party services
  • Must add offer to Card and use same Card to redeem.
  • Offer is non-transferable.

How to Load

This offer is targeted to personal cards only. Specifically I found it on my Delta Gold, Blue Cash Everyday and Platinum cards. If you are targeted, the offer can be loaded on the American Express website under the Amex Offers section.

Analysis

First off, gift cards don’t seem to be excluded. However, the offer is available online only this time around, so that limits the selection of gift cards. They occasionally have gift card sales which would become even better deals with this offer.

Membership Deal

If you do not have a membership, then this is a good time to sign up. I wrote just a few days ago about an Amex Offer that can be stacked with other promotions for free membership.

Conclusion

This offer is not as good as previous offers, but it could still get you some great savings, especially if you have it in a lot of cards. There’s also a separate offer that will earn you 5X for in-store purchases.

  1. I’m thinking of wandering into a Sams with the 12 Amex cards I have access to that each have the offer. Then asking to split pay for a $500 mcgc with 11 x $35 for the first 11 Amex cards, then an Amex SPG cc for the promo for the balance. Any idea what’s the max # of amex CC’s can be used for split payments? The above will seem wierd to the teller, but I’m sure a few smiles and polite words explaining “there’s a deal on my amex cards” will maintain his/ her patience while i keep swiping!

  2. Added this offer to two (2) cards. Made GC purchase with each card. Both purchases show up as ‘pending’ with AMEX, but I have yet to receive “Great news!” notification for either purchase. Other data points out there?
