Status Earned Through Wyndham Cards Will No Longer Match to Caesars Rewards?

Wyndham Rewards has announced two negative changes that will kick in early next year.

The first is about cardholders who use the status earned from their card to match to Caesars Rewards, especially Wyndham Rewards Earner® Business cardholders who get Diamond status.

The other changes is about the amount of points that you can transfer annually. This will be cut in half, starting next year.

The details of these changes have been revealed here, which is the Canadian website. The terms don’t show up (yet?) on the US site.

  • Status Match: Beginning February 1, 2025, Wyndham Rewards cardholders will no longer be able to match their Wyndham Rewards PLATINUM and DIAMOND Member Level obtained as a result of being a cardholder (as opposed to earning their member level through stays) into the Caesars Rewards program.
  • Points Transfers: Beginning January 1, 2025, the Caesars Rewards points transfer maximum will be adjusted to 30,000 points per calendar year. The points transfer ratio for Wyndham Rewards points to Caesars Rewards points will continue to be 1:1.
