T-Mobile Has a New Free Line Promo
T-Mobile is once again running a free line promotion, just like the one they recently had back in July. If you already have a T-Mobile account with at least two voice lines, you can add another line for free. The promotion should also be available to Sprint customers too. You can see the T-Mobile promotion here.
You need to have one of these plans to qualify: Magenta, Essentials, ONE, or Simple Choice. You can only add one free line through this promotion. It’s not clear how long the promotion will run.
This is a great opportunity to lock in a free line now, even if you don’t need it right away. You can hold on to the SIM card they send you and use it later on. There’s no extra charges at all. You are eligible even if you already have previous free line offers.
Key Terms
- Via monthly bill credits.
- Limited time offer; subject to change.
- Free new line for accounts with 2 to 11 voice lines; plus taxes & fees for accounts currently paying for a T‑Mobile wireless line with additional taxes & fees.
- Qualifying credit and Magenta, Essentials, ONE, or Simple Choice plan required.
- Credits may take up to 2 bill cycles; credits will stop if you cancel any lines.
- Limit 1 offer per account.
Stacking Options
You should add this new line anyway as soon as possible, since we are not sure how long it will last. But this can also be a good time to shop around and check for new phone promotions that sometimes require a new line to be added to your account. You can check at Costco in-store, or look at this promotion that shows up in the T-Mobile website. Might need to open with a clean browser to see the offer below. You can get a iPhone 11 Pro for free via 24 monthly bill credits when you switch and trade in an eligible device and add a new line. The new version is coming out, but if you need a free phone, the iPhone 11 Pro is not a bad choice at all.
Just make sure you read the fine print carefully on these offers and see which plans qualify.
Conclusion
These free line promotions for T-Mobile and Sprint customers can yield great savings. The free line gets unlimited talk, text and data. Do this sooner than later, in case it gets pulled soon and definitely check out phone deals to see if any of them work for you.

I have 12 lines already. Anyone think I could cancel one and then 24 hours later or so add a line back for free?
Are the 55+ plans eligible?
No because they can only have 2 lines
I activated a new line BYOD with Costco in store this morning. They have an incentive of $100 Costco cash card via rebate as well on top of this free line. The deals can be stacked together, both deals expire September 24th.
