Targeted Chase Business Cards Offers Bypass 5/24
Chase has one of the most restrictive policies when it comes to approving new credit card applications. the 5/24 rule states that you will not be approved for certain Chase cards if you have opened 5 or more revolving accounts (including credit cards, lines of credit, etc.) in the past 24 months. You can read more about that here.
But in some cases you can bypass this rule. One of those options is the “Selected For You” offers that show up online in some accounts. These offers are for personal card. Find these offers on the left hand menu under the Explore Products section or it might show under your current credit cards.
Now similar offers are showing up for Chase Business Cards. These offers show up on personal accounts, with a black star saying ‘For Business Owners’. The signup bonuses are the same as the public offers, but there’s a few data points that these ‘black star’ offers will bypass 5/24.
Looks like after applying for one card the other offers will disappear. So make sure you go for the best option first.
Conclusion
Good to see this option of bypassing 5/24 for Chase Business Cards. These are targeted offers, but hopefully some of you will see them in your Chase accounts.
