Turn Rampart Rewards Into Bonvoy Points
Miles to Memories Facebook Group member Melanie posted a pretty cool promo going on just outside Las Vegas. The Rampart Casino, with attached JW Marriott Las Vegas Resort & Spa, is offering casino members the chance to earn Bonvoy points instead of Rampart Rewards (their loyalty program). The casino and hotel is in Summerlin, about 25 minutes from the strip, and looks like a really nice property.
This is a pretty unique opportunity for gamblers and something that I think is amazingly generous. Could you imagine if MGM allowed this to happen with Hyatt points? A man can dream, can’t he? The really crazy thing is this gives people a lot more value versus the normal rewards.

Details On The Promotion
After seeing the flyer in our Facebook group I called to get some more information from the players club. Here is the breakdown on earnings:
- You can earn 1 Bonvoy point for every $1 bet on reels and video reels slot machines.
- You can earn 1 Bonvoy point for every $2 bet on video poker
- Have to transfer into 200 point increments
- You have to be a guest at the hotel to be eligible.
At first I figured the amount you are able to transfer would be limited, but the only limitation is that you need to be a hotel guest to be eligible. They said that any previously accrued points would be eligible as well during your stay. This is nuts really! I’ll show you why when we crunch the numbers.
Crunching The Numbers
What is really surprising here is the conversion rate. Normally Casino points are worth around a penny a piece but with Rampart Rewards points the conversion is 1,000 points = $1 or $0.001 per point. This must be why the loyalty account earn rates seemed high to me.
With this being a 1 to 1 transfer to Bonvoy points you can get 5 or 6 times more value. That is because Marriott Bonvoy points are worth $0.005-$0.006 each. So you are getting $5 – $6 per 1,000 points instead of $1. That is a pretty substantial return on your gambling in my opinion.
Turn Rampart Rewards Into Bonvoy Points: Final Thoughts
I like this promotion since it gives people options, and more value. The casino and JW Marriott have always been run separately but on the same property. It is nice to see them working together on this offer though. I don’t mind requiring the hotel stay to be eligible since previously accrued points work too. So you could gamble there for a few days and then book the stay. It looks like a nice break from the strip and I have always heard great things about downtown Summerlin.
If I had planned on doing some serious gambling I think this would change my plans for an upcoming trip. The value just seems to good to pass up from serious slot players that also like hotel points.
What do you think about being able to turn Rampart Rewards into Bonvoy points? Let me know down in the comments.

I use my Bonvoy annual 75night choice award at the JW Marriott at Rampart. They gave me an incredible suite for two nights for free! The Rampart has always been very generous to me with offers also. I think the
property is a hidden gem with immaculate grounds.
My most recent stay was in April of this year. We stayed 5 nights on Marriott points and the casino points we earned during the stay were posted to our Bonvoy account the day after we checked out.
Thanks for the info Dave – much appreciated. Good to know points stays are good.
My wife and I have stayed at this property several times over the last 5-10 years and the points transfer has been available each time. I have never seen any advertising for it but all you have to do is inquire at the rewards desk and they will give you all the details.
As was mentioned in earlier comments, this property caters to locals in an older demographic. If you check their website prior to booking your stay, you might be able to time it so you can take advantage of available promotions, free merchandise after accumulating a certain number of points, point multipliers, etc. We are over both over 65 and were able to time our last stay so that we were there on a day they were offering 10X points for seniors. It is an outstanding deal when you then transfer those points to your Marriott Bonvoy account. The rooms are very nice, although a little dated. I would highly recommend. it.
Thanks for the info Dave. Sounds like some great stacking opportunities for sure.
Can you be staying at JW on points? Is there an end date for this promotion?
It sounds like this is a long term promotion from other comments. I didn’t think to ask if you can be staying on points but since it just says you need to be a hotel guest I am pretty confident comped rooms or points stays would work fine.
I’ve made this transfer a few times and it really works. The request is made at the Rewards desk and takes just a couple minutes and they provide a receipt so you can follow up if your points to not get applied. Just have your Bonvoy number handy. I’ve also never been asked if I was a hotel guest (but I was).
Interesting part on the hotel guest. I wonder if they can easily check that on your account though.
Not sure about that. Its a good question. To add to this if you are a hotel guest and Platium Elite, the breakfast at their coffee shop (Earl Grey) was great and free. Coffee, Juice, Bagel/lox tomatoes, fruit, yogurt, zucchini bread and few more choices. Or, you can eat breakfast (free) at the Market Place Buffet from their ‘continental section’ (for Elite members) which I found pretty plentiful, but I didnt see any buffet police if you were to grab something from the full breakfast buffet. They even gave us breakfast coupons for our kids, which was 4 Platinum Elite breakfasts. The JW also gives guests $5 free play per stay, $10 match play table games, and a couple free bingo cards. My husband and I BOTH got these coupons. If that isn’t enough, they offer FREE bike rental (for an hour) and Hawthorne Grill has some GREAT happy hour food and drink items.
I like the JW though be careful with the valet as they gave my rental car to another customer (thankfully we had removed the baby seat).
Ramparts is kind of a dump compared to the strip casinos but video poker is video poker. I generally get 1 cpp value on Marriott redemptions so this would be a good roi.
It does look like a pretty nice property from the pictures (didn’t see the casino though)
I was there in July for a convention and didn’t see this promo. I wonder why I wasn’t told or didn’t notice it.
It’s a nice property, but it’s a golf resort. It definitely attracts a different crowd from the Strip — much older, for one thing.
Well no, because it’s not in Vegas, lol………………….Is This The Best Players Club Promo In Vegas
I know we are getting into semantics here but when their local paper calls Summerlin Vegas it is good enough for me…
