Thought you might be interested to know: Back in September I received an e-mail from Miles to Memories saying I would receive 2200 American Airlines miles for signing up for a 12 week subscription to the WALL STREET JOURNAL. I paid (and was billed) the $12 on my Citi AAdvantage card. When I recently checked my AAdvantage activity, I saw that the 2200 miles had still not been credited. I called the Wall Street Journal’s toll free number. I spoke with someone in Manila (yes, Manila) Philippines who I could barely understand. She said something about the offer coming from “a third party” and WSJ was not responsible. Also, I never received ANY print or digital issues of the WSJ. I should have known better. When an offer sounds too good to be true, the buyer gets screwed!!!!
There is conflicting information in this post. The first sentence states 12.00 for a year subscription. The second says 12.00 for a 12 week subscription.
I subscribed last night, but nowhere in the subscription process did it ask for the UA Mileage Plus # of the account.
What am I missing here?
(I only applied just to create some mileage activity and keep alive 30k miles in a family members Ua mileage plus account.)
You can use the UA shopping portal to keep your account alive
I didn’t see anywhere to add it in either which I found weird. I found the offer on United shopping portal and changed the link to that in case they want you to go through that first. The link we had posted is what they sent us for the promo so I would reach out to the portal and send them a copy of your receipt and make sure they add it to your account. Let me know if you run into issues and we will reach out to our contact as well Ken.

It’s very difficult to cancel the subscription. They don’t give you any info about canceling. Good luck if you sign up
