United MileagePlus Spring Bonus

Mileage portal spending bonuses are among my favorite ways to pad my balance throughout the year. United usually runs spending bonus offers every few months and they have yet another one starting today.

The Offer

  • Tier 1 bonus: 300 miles for qualifying purchases of at least $150;
  • Tier 2 bonus: 1,000 miles for qualifying purchases of at least $350 or more.

Conclusion

A nice added bonus for your online purchases if you prefer United Miles. They are giving an extra 2.85X miles per dollar if you spend exactly $350. Since this is on top of the normal payout, it will make sense for a lot of people, especially if you are shopping at a store where they have a competitive payout.
