Buy US Mint Coins, $25 Profit plus $1,300 in Free Spend

The US Mint will release a new coin tomorrow and it is a good opportunity to make a small profit or even get a good amount of free spending if you’re working towards a credit card signup bonus.

The Offer

Tomorrow, July 6th at 12:00PM EST, the US Mint will release a limited edition platinum coin. The purchase is limited to one (1) coin per household. Each coin will cost $1,300.00. After including the standard $4.95 shipping, each order’s total will be $1,304.95.

The coin can then be sold for $1,330.00, for a profit of $25.05.

How it Works

Update: It appears that PFS Buyers Club has filled up for this promo and they aren’t taking any more opt-ins.

The coins are bought by PFS Buyers Club. Once you sign up for an account today (our referral link) you go to the “Current Deal” and opt-in. They only buy so many coins so those where are opted in are guaranteed to be able to sell.

After you purchase a coin you will have the box shipped to your own house or office. You then ship them to PFS Buyers Club with a prepaid FedEx shipping label that they will provide for you.

Conclusion

The reason this is a good deal, is that besides the $25 profit, you will also get free spend. If you use a card that earns you at least 2% card, you will make another ~$27. Or you can use it to work your way towards a minimum spending requirement.

PFS Buyers Club have been around for a while and the process itself is pretty straightforward. Hurry and sign up now and opt-in, don’t wait till tomorrow and thanks in advance for using our link.

  1. Dealt with PFS before and they were professional and competent. Didn’t get to this deal in time, but I bought a coin anyway. Pre-selling for at least $1,600 on Ebay right now, well worth the effort. Production is limited to 10,000 coins and limited to one per address.

      • Make sure you are looking at the proof coin. If the coin you see is graded, that is not this coin. Average sold coins are the the $1,500-1,700 range right now. The listings likely say pre-sale, since no one has these in hand right now except the Mint.

        • yes Dan you’re correct I was looking at the wrong item. At this point the lowest price for the coin is actually $1350 or best offer.

  2. I have done one other deal with them about a year ago. I got paid as expected. As I recall the check was handwritten and didn’t look like a business account. But there was no problem

  3. PFS Buyers Club is being quite open and making the process seem pretty simple. I don’t think they would publicly post this deal if they had no intentions on fulfilling it. I would like $50 but you guys are trying to talk me out of it 🙁

    • after some research, the worst dirt I could find on PFS is that their site is kind of shitty when getting bum-rushed by traffic 🙂 cheers

    • In all honesty the more exposure they get the faster they fill quotas and probably down the line reduce their profit being issued to buyers. Selfishly I should say to just avoid them, but truthfully they’ve been highly reputable and these coin deals have been ongoing for 2+ years.

  4. Dead or not, this seems extraordinarily risky. How do we know that they won’t take our coins and file Chapter 11? Or move to the Bahamas? Happens all the time, and this is the perfect scenario for a lot of people to get screwed. All for $25 and some free spend? I encourage great caution here. Be smart, people.

    • Frank, I tend to agree. I’m sure at least a few of us remember the days of the Presidential dollar coins that the US Mint was selling at face value, with no shipping and handling charges? Those coins could be used for daily spending, or could be easily liquidated at any bank.

It seems these coins would be better for collecting. Does anyone know how liquid they would be without PFS Buyers Club?

      • Exactly! I also remember buying travelers checks from AAA with a credit card for no fee. Those were the days.

Just looked up pfsbuyersclub.com — the domain name is registered anonymously!

    • I’ve used PFS for two years, across several deals, and they’ve always paid. The instructions and updates throughout the process couldn’t be any better. Dan with DansDeals also vouched for them. To anyone that knows the DD community and his putting his neck on the line that should resonate.

Bottom line is don’t do it if you aren’t comfortable but I don’t bat an eye when dealing with PFS. Further, I highly doubt Shawn would promote anything he felt was risky. To each their own though.

  5. I seem to have got registered with PFS Buyers Club. I opted in and got a confirmation email and everything. I did this not long before the first “deal is dead” comment, which is why I am/was confused. Anyway, I think I have opted in correctly and I am ready for purchase, tomorrow, noon!

  6. seeing PBC wants a ton of these, they are clearly expecting these to go up in value. How much in value? who knows but maybe it’s best to buy one and keep it 🙂

  7. You don’t reall say whether you have done this for other PFS Buyers Club deals in the past… What is your experience with them? Have you ever had any issues? $1,300 is a pretty good amount of money.
