Wells Fargo Propel Cards Will Convert to Autograph in May
Wells Fargo has decided to stop servicing Propel Card accounts. Current Propel cardholders will be converted to the Wells Fargo Autograph Card which launched last June.
Wells Fargo Propel, Propel 365, and Propel World accounts will convert to Wells Fargo Autograph Card on May 24, 2023. All three are American Express cards, while Autograph runs on the Visa network. There is no option to opt out of this switch.
On May 24, once your account is moved to the Autograph Card, your card name and number will change. If you have a rewards balance, Wells Fargo will transfer it from your existing card. The replacement cards will start arriving by the end of June 2023. You can start using your new Autograph Card as soon as it arrives. Your current Propel card is still available for you to use until then.
Before the switch is made, make sure you use the $100 airline reimbursement credit that you get each cardmember year. Also, once your account is converted to the new Autograph Card on May 24, 2023, your annual relationship bonus will go away. However, the relationship bonus will be paid through April. You will receive your bonus amount on your anniversary date or after your Propel Card deactivates on 08/04/2023, whichever comes first.
If you don’t want the Autograph Card, your only option is to opt out of the changes by calling 1-866-568-6521, and your account will be closed.
