Details of My Westin Los Cabos Time Share Offer
Late last week I received a new time share offer. This time it was from the Westin Los Cabos Resort Villas & Spa. It looks like an amazing resort and it has a 4.5 star rating on TripAdvisor. The deal was very compelling but I couldn’t get it to work in my travel plans. I will post a phone number at the end so you can try to get a similar offer.

Details
The offer did not have as many bells and whistles as my previous Hyatt Hawaii offer but it was solid. Here are the details:
- 5 Days/4 Nights for $299
- 15,000 points from the Starwood Preferred Guest (I am assuming they mean Marriott points)
- OR $75 Resort Certificate
- Must go to a Westin Vacation Club presentation (ie torture for 3 hours!!!)
It looks like a normal 4 night stay would be in the $1200 range or 200,000 Marriott points. Although I could stay for a 5th night for free using points. The 15,000 points would be in the $100 range. So I would be getting in the ballpark of $1000 in net value for going to the time share presentation.
The weird thing was that they only gave me 5 days to make a decision. With it being the Holiday Season I found that a little strange…most people are preoccupied as it is.
From my other time share posts I have learned it is best to call in and ask for more. If I was going to take them up on it I probably would have pushed for 2 bedrooms if possible. I most likely would have been taking the kids along for this to work. That was the main reason I decided to pass since we would need to work around the presentation while dealing with the kids. Since they usually want both spouses there it didn’t seem like it was worth the hassle. Had it been like the previous offer I received where there was no presentation required I would have done it in a heartbeat. Or if we hadn’t already planned some couples only trips for next year I may have made it work.
Conclusion
When I go to the offer page incognito it gives me a number (1-800-356-7959) to call to ask about the opportunity. It may be worth trying to see if they can target you etc.
The offer was a tempting one since the resort looked really gorgeous. I am a little surprised they only offered 5 days to make a decision. But when I click through the link the offer still shows even though it was supposed to expire yesterday.
Let me know your thoughts in the comments section. Would you have taken the offer?

I’m going soon for my presentation, can someone let me know the best room area, with the ocean view, studio ,
I’m a owner at Bahama’s Atlantis. Gave the Ex Kaanapali. I usually trade for Cancun! Favorite bc of the employee’s & view. So I’ve asked for a high room, but the property is so huge, idk what building is best? I’d like to be not too far in distance from the swim up bar or a great pool. Where the sun hits most by the pool(s) Any help will be appreciated!
That Westin is a great property. Highly recommended. The food is a bit pricey but value doesn’t really exist in the LosCabos/Cabo area.
Thanks Brian – it does look amazing!
I did a Hilton timeshare on the Big Island in March 2016 and had a great time. I think it was around $900.00 dollars for 6 days 5 nights and included rental car and $200.00 credit to a Hilton stay. We were traveling from Hartford and added a couple of days using points to stay at a IHG property Holiday Inn. The $200.00 credit came in handy when I told my wife that I was going to book an extra night for cash because of flight wavers due to big winter storm in the northeast. You can imagine how upset she was having to stay an extra day in Hawaii. LOL
Haha I bet she was devastated. Sounds like some great value.
We did a similar deal at the Westin Las Cabos in October, 2017 and had a great time. Even though the invitation was sent to me, they gave us an upgrade to a 2 bedroom suite when they found out he was SPG Platinum. We also got free breakfast with his status. It was a terrific property. Even though we had our taxi driver stop off at the grocery store on our way there to pick up provisions, the food offered poolside was reasonably priced given the location. I think you and your family would have a great time if you went. There were a lot of children, but there was also a pool for adults. The time share presentation is not really 3 hours long if you don’t talk a lot–but my husband talks a lot….he just can’t help himself! They certainly weren’t as pushy as the other timeshare presentation we signed up for (Wyndham–which we will never do again). I’d do another package at this property in a heartbeat, if offered.
Awesome thanks for the insight Pauline.
