World of Hyatt May Have More Changes Coming

In late February Hyatt surprised us with massive changes to its World of Hyatt award chart. Those changes will go into effect in May and more category changes are expected as well.

But that may not be all. Hyatt may be looking to make more changes to its program, or is at least thinking about it. Some members have received an interesting survey from Hyatt, as reported by LoyaltyLobby.

Here’s a quick look at some of the things things that are mentioned in the survey:

  • New tier status above Globalist
  • Free Parking and/or Waived Resort Destination Fees possibly going away
  • The survey mentions several possible award changes:
    • Ability to top up awards with points
    • Award that waives peak-pricing and allows the award holder to redeem at the standard level for each category
    • Use their points for Guest of Honor, Club Access, and Suite Upgrade awards, although you can continue to earn them as Milestones as well.
    • New Premium Suite Award.
  • Globalist Concierge may be going away. It will become a Milestone Rewards option or be available only to members who reach more than 60 nights in a calendar year.
  • Milestone Rewards starting at 20 nights and ending at 150 nights.

As I mentioned above, this is just is just a survey and these are some of the topics included in the questions presented to members. That doesn’t mean that these exact changes will happen, but it does show that Hyatt is looking to make more changes to its program.

Let us know if you received this survey, or what you think about any of these changes!
