TCF Bank is once again sending out mailers with a targeted bonus that can earn you $300 in cash. TCF bank is a regional bank located in 6 states MN, MI, IL, WI, CO & SD. In the past it’s been possible to call in and get the offer even without the mailer, but those days might be over.

Details on the Offer

The offer is for a $300 bonus for anyone living at the printed address on the mailer.  There are a few qualifiers:

  • One bonus per household
  • You can not be a current TCF customer or have closed a TCF account within 90 days
  • TCF employees are not eligible

In order to get the bonus, open an account before May 20, 2019 and complete only one of the following within 60 days:

  • $500 direct deposit (some bank transfers have worked in the past)
  • Make one or more bill pays that exceed $250

The account needs to be opened with at least $25. The money will be deposited the following day once the activities are confirmed.

Conclusion

This is a great bonus and requirements are easy as you can just do bill pays of $250 or more to get $300 back. The TCF Premier Checking account has a $15 monthly fee that is waived with a balance of $2,500.

Make sure to check your mail if you live in one of the states with a branch.  If you don’t normally chase bank bonuses but get this offer be sure to do it!

  1. It’s even a decent bank. It’s been my primary checking account for 30+ years. For many years they were the only Minnesota bank that offered absolutely free checking with no minimum balance. I see that they are now requiring a hefty minimum balance for free checking, but they have been absolutely stalwart about grandfathering in the old free checking accounts like mine with no monkey business. More competent than Citi and way more trustworthy than Wells Fargo (which is a pretty low bar, but still…).
