5% Back on Select Freedom Unlimited Purchases (Targeted)

Some lucky cardholders were given a nice surprise in their emails this morning.  There is a targeted offer going around that will net Chase Freedom Unlimited cardholders 5% back on select Freedom Unlimited purchases.  Remember that means they are essentially earning 5X Ultimate Rewards points per dollar if they carry a Chase premium card since that makes these points transferable.

5% Back on Select Freedom Unlimited Purchases

Details of the Offer

Earn 5% back on your Chase Freedom Unlimited card for the following purchases up to $2,000 purchases in total:

  • Utilities
  • Insurance
  • Phone Services
  • Cable Services

That is a quick and easy 10,000 UR points right there.  Many people already get 5X points on cable and phone purchases with the Chase Ink Cash.  But utilities and insurance does not earn a bonus for most cards, unless you dig down really deep.

Final Thoughts

Check your email for this offer and be sure to max it out.  If you value Ultimate Rewards points at 1.5 cents each that is like getting 7.5% back on purchases everyone has to make anyway. This is a lot better than some of those dumpy Chase spending offers they have sent out in the past.

  1. Thanks! Tried the link, but not targeted. Also, I’m never targeted with emails from Chase. EVER. I’m wondering if there’s some setting I need to change…

    • You may need to opt into marketing from them but I have no idea where that would be – could try to secure message and ask if you are on the list to be sent offers etc.
