Improved Bonus on Word of Hyatt Card

Improved Bonus on Word of Hyatt Card

Chase and World of Hyatt have launched a new welcome bonus on the World of Hyatt Credit Card. New cardmembers can now earn a total of 75,000 miles after spending $15,000 on the card. But this is really a 60,000 points bonus. Let’s see the details.

World of Hyatt Credit Card

  • Earn up to 75,000 Bonus Points:
    • Get 45,000 Bonus Points after you spend $5,000 on purchases in your first 3 months of account opening
    • Get up to 30,000 more Bonus Points by earning 2 Bonus Points total per $1 spent in the first 6 months from account opening on purchases that normally earn 1 Bonus Point, on up to $15,000 spent
  • Annual Fee: $95
  • DIRECT LINK TO OFFER

75K Bonus Word of Hyatt Card

Card highlights include:

  • 9 total points per $1 spent at Hyatt hotels (4 Bonus Points per $1 spent on qualifying purchases, plus 5 Base Points per $1 spent for being a World of Hyatt member).
  • 2 Bonus Points per $1 spent on local transit and commuting, dining, airline tickets purchased directly from the airlines and fitness clubs and gym memberships.
  • 1 Bonus Point per $1 spent on all other purchases.
  • Complimentary World of Hyatt Discoverist status.
  • 1 free night award each year after your cardmember anniversary at any Category 1-4 Hyatt hotel worldwide and a second free night after $15,000 in spend in a calendar.

Conclusion

The first part of the bonus has been improved compared to the standard offer. You will earn 45,000 Bonus Points after you spend $5,000 on purchases in your first 3 months. After that you also get 2X bonus points on $15,000 spend for another 30,000 bonus points. Half of that is just the standard earning, so it’s not really a bonus.

Nonetheless you end up with a total of 75,000 points and a Free Night for spending the $15,000.
