Earn 95x Amex Points on New LifeLock Subscriptions

Rakuten has brought back an interesting offer for a LifeLock subscription. If you sign up now you can get 95% cash back or earn 95x Membership Rewards points. This can be a decent way to get cheap Membership Rewards points, and get some spending done. Let’s see the details of this offer.

The Offer

Earn 95% cash back or 95x Membership Rewards points when purchasing a LifeLock subscription through Rakuten. You can see the offer here. Cash Back or bonus points will be automatically added to your Rakuten account right away.

There are some things you should keep in mind:

  • Cash back is not available on free trials and automatic renewals.
  • Cash Back is not available when using coupons/promotional codes not found on Rakuten.
  • Cancelling a subscription within 60 days of sign up will void Cash Back.

How it Works Out

There are two ways that you can go about doing this deal. One is to go for the cheaper subscription, if you are looking to sign up for LifeLock. The other is to go for the most expensive offer and earn as much cash back or points as possible.

The cheapest option is $89.99. That would earn you $$85.50 cash back or 8,550 Membership Rewards through Rakuten.

For the second option you have the most expensive subscription of $399.99. You would earn $380 or 38,000 Membership Rewards points. If you use a card like Blue Business Plus, you also get 2X on evert dollar you spend for an additional 800 points and a total of 38,800 points. With this option you are buying points at 1.03 cents each. You can redeem through Schwab for 1.1 cents or get even more value than that through travel partners.

Conclusion

This is a good option to buy Membership Rewards points for about one cent each, or to get some spending done if you are working on a credit card bonus. We have seen similar offers for 100% cash back at times, so it could be worth waiting for that rare offer to come around.

It can get even better for new Rakuten members who also get a $30 signup bonus right now.
