Update: It seems to have gone out of stock. I’ll update this page if it comes back in stock again. It is now available for order again for $99. It isn’t in stock, but Amazon will ship when they get the item and you can place an order.

Amazon is currently selling a very well reviewed Acer Chromebook for $95. This model normally sells for $159 and briefly went on sale yesterday for $99! I bought one yesterday to play around with, but the price has dropped even further. There is a limit of 1 per Amazon account.
Here are the specs from the product page:
- Intel Celeron N2830 Dual-Core Processor 2.16GHz with Intel Burst Technology up to 2.41GHz
- Google Chrome Operating System
- 11.6″ HD Anti-Glare Widescreen LED-backlit Display
- Intel HD Graphics, 2048MB DDR3L SDRAM Memory
- 16GB Internal Storage, Secure Digital (SD) card reader
- 802.11AC WiFi featuring MIMO technology (Dual-Band 2.4GHz and 5GHz)
- Bluetooth 4.0, Built-In HD Webcam
- 1 – USB 3.0 Port, 1-USB 2.0 Port, 1 – HDMI Port
- 3-Cell Li-Polymer Battery (3220 mAh), Up to 8.5-hours Battery Life
- 2.43 lbs. | 1.1 kg (system unit only)
As you can see, for the price it is a very good system. Keep in mind Chromebooks are meant to be portable and for web browsing and simple productivity.
Bonuses are Worth $$$
Included with this laptop you actually get three great “gifts” that make this a fantastic value.
- 100 GB Google Drive Storage – Save, access and share all your photos, videos and documents.
- 12 Gogo in-air internet passes – Get online at 10,000 feet with free Gogo in-air passes – These may be tied to the device or you may get them loaded after your redeem on the device. It isn’t clear.
- Music on Google Play™ – Stream unlimited music for the first 60 days for free.
For many, the Gogo passes alone will be worth the price. I definitely think they add value to the deal. The drive storage and Google Play Music are nice, but don’t really sway me either way.
25% More Off
Don’t forget you can lock in a 25% savings by purchasing $60 Amazon gift cards and loading them to your account if you have the Amazon Amex Offer linked to one or many of your cards.
Conclusion
Like I said, I bought one of these yesterday at $5 more and think this is a great deal. It is amazing how cheap good consumer electronics products have become! Enjoy.

Picked one up for my kids and finally opened the box and started up. No Gogo anywhere to be found.
I think it is tied to the device. Maybe when you activate the computer it will tell you? I’m not sure since I am still waiting for mine to be delivered from the backlog that they had.
I’m wondering if that is a truly sealed unit because I’ve noticed recently a lot of sellers were selling 12 GoGo passes on EBay which leads me to believe that they bought this Chromebook and then removed the Gogo passes and are selling them separately averaging about $50 for the 12 as a package.
@Shawn –
As far as the Free GoGo Passes: The Terms state:
Offer valid until Dec 31, 2015 and passes are valid for 12 months from the date the offer is redeemed. In order to redeem the offer, you must be on a GoGo-enabled domestic US flight. This offer is tied to your device and is non-transferable. Offer can only be redeemed once per device. Used, open-box, and refurbished devices are not eligible for the offer.
Correct. With past deals it seemed to load the passes into your Gogo account so once you redeemed from the device it worked on others or so I was told. I wouldn’t buy it expecting to use the passes on other devices, but there is a shot it will work.
Sold out
price just went back up to $159!
