Amazon Business Accounts, 50% Off and Free Prime Duo

Amazon has a new promotion for business accounts. If eligible, you can get a discount of 50% on your first purchase with a Amazon Business account. Check out the details of the offer, and the promotion page, to see if you are eligible.

The Offer

Here’s how it works:

  1. Login with your Amazon Business account.
  2. Add item(s) shipped by Amazon to your basket
  3. At checkout enter the promo code SBM50 and a discount of 50% up to $150 USD will be applied on eligible items.

This offer is limited to a discount of $150 USD. One redemption per business account. Promo code is valid for 30 days since the date of receiving it or the end of the promotion.

The same promotion also offers free Business Prime Duo. This is a single-user $69/year add-on for small business owners already shopping with an Amazon Prime membership on a personal Amazon.com account, to add work benefits to their Amazon Business account.

Key Terms

  • This is a limited time offer. Offer valid for selected Amazon Business customers for 30 days since receiving your promotion code.
  • Promotional code only applies to customers that has less than 30 days since they registered to Amazon Business and for its first purchase.
  • The client would need to wait 72 hours after registration in order to redeem the coupon.
  • Offer can be redeemed by applying the promotional code SBM50 on a verified Amazon Business account.
  • Offer only applies to all physical products fulfilled by Amazon.

Conclusion

This is a great discount for the first purchase using an Amazon Business account. You can get a discount of 50%, up to $150 ins savings.   1. I’ve thought about the Duo accounts because Amazon keeps emailing me “you could have saved $107 [last year] by shopping on Amazon Business.”
    My business doesn’t use much from Amazon, but I could order general non-business family purchases on the business account to get the savings. How would that go over- any risk of consequences? Is it easy to determine if something is cheaper on the business account and order it through business, or would it involve looking up every purchase on both accounts to compare prices?
