Analysis

This is a great deal and one I plan to participate in. You basically get 3 books plus $10 to spend for free. Whenever it comes to deals like this I always set a reminder so I can avoid being charged, unless of course I decide that I want to keep the service. Audible is a great service and Amazon is seemingly hoping that you will get hooked.

Amazon Prime 30 Day Trial

If you aren’t an Amazon Prime member, you can sign-up for a 30 day free trial in order to take advantage of Prime Day deals. You will be charged $10.99 per month after the trial is over if you don’t cancel. You can sign-up here.

Conclusion

I think we will see more great deals like this one (and a ton of not so great deals) as we lead up to Amazon Prime Day. Deals like this enhance the value of my Prime membership and thus I try to take advantage of them. As always, set a reminder to avoid charges if you don’t want to keep the service. Happy Priming!

  1. It worked for me, although I did have an Audible trial membership some years ago. I’m having trouble figuring out how to use the $10, though. I got an email saying that my $10 credit was “ready to use” but can’t see any sign of it on my Amazon account.

  2. I’ve been an Audible member for a very long time and obviously love it.

If you choose to subscribe, I find buying an annual membership to be a better deal. I get credits for about $10 each that I can use whenever I want, not just one book a month.

Something to remember about Audible is that you can return any book you don’t like for a refund.

I loved the series of classic titles, read by award-winning actors, Audible produced, e.g. The End of the Affair read by Colin Firth.
