Amazon Prime Day is just two weeks away, on Tuesday, July 12 and Wednesday, July 13. So to prepare for the big sale event, you should have a Prime membership and probably the Amazon Prime Rewards card.

With Prime you can take advantage of more deals, and you can even sign up through a free 30 day trial. As for the Amazon Prime Rewards card, starting July 1st there’s an increased signup bonus and then on Prime Day you can earn an increased cash back rate on all purchases. Let’s see the details.

  • New Amazon Prime Rewards Visa Cardmembers: From July 1 through July 29, Prime members get a $200 Amazon Gift Card instantly upon approval for the Amazon Prime Rewards Visa Card.
  • New and Existing Amazon Prime Rewards Visa Cardmembers: Cardmembers with an eligible Prime membership can earn 6% back at Amazon.com and Whole Foods Market on Prime Day and 5% back year-round, plus 2% back at restaurants, gas stations, and drugstores, and 1% back everywhere Visa is accepted.

Conclusion

If you’re planning to apply for the Amazon Prime Rewards card, then this is a good opportunity to earn a good bonus. You can also use the card to get 6% back on all Amazon.com and Whole Foods Market purchases during Prime Day. But even after that, you can continue to earn 5% back.
