American Airlines is once again offering award fares all over the country for just 5,000 miles. Many routes have some dates showing fares for 5K miles one way or 10K round-trip. These cheap award fares are under Economy Web Specials. Normally many of these one-way fares would be 12,500 AAdvantage miles.

To search for and book these crazy American Airlines fares you need to go to the American Airlines website. You will need AAdvantage miles in order to take advantage of this sale. Make sure to click on ‘Economy Web Specials’ to see these 5K fares.

Karen you have to just select one way while booking not two way
Where is the “Economy Web Specials” tab?
Sometimes an “Economy Web Specials” tab shows up (to the left of “Economy SAAver”), but often I won’t see that it’s a Web Special until I click on the box that shows the price of a flight. Then I get a warning pop-up telling me it’s a Web Special, no upgrades, can’t be cancelled, etc. Seems very inconsistent.
