Once a month Air France & KLM airlines like to tease us with some discounted award flights. The catch is that the booking windows are tight, and the travel windows are on the tighter side too. That doesn’t mean that these Flying Blue promo awards have no value though. They can offer some pretty great deals to / from Europe, and also for intra Europe flights. They do tend to send us on a bit of a treasure hunt though. The question is, will there be gold at the end of this rainbow for you?

Now the fun begins, or the pain begins, I guess it depends on how much you like searching flights. Because these promo award flights will not be available every day of the window. And as people grab them it will become more difficult to take advantage of. That means you should stop reading and get to booking these Flying Blue promo awards while you can! I don’t mind searching for flights. Finding business class saver space on KL/AF is a chore at best though. I haven’t spent too much effort but the times I’ve tried I haven’t found any promo awards available in the last couple of years. Combined with the removal of 50% off promos and the increase in business class saver awards there’s still some value to be found but it’s a great deal tougher to achieve than previously.
I don’t enjoy using their search functions either haha. Only found a few business savers myself but never any that worked for what I needed.
