American Airlines AAdvantage Shopping Portal Bonus

During the Back to School offer members can earn a one time bonus for the AAdvantage shopping portal.  Members can earn 500 or 1,500 bonus miles depending on which spending thresholds they reach.

Here are the offer’s details:

  • Back to School offers run from 7/16-7/26/18
  • 2 Tier Bonus
    • 500 miles for $150 or more in spend
    • 1,500 miles for $350 or more in spend
  • Qualifying purchases do not include returns, cancellations, shipping and handling, taxes, gift card or other cash equivalent purchases, and certain products that are not eligible for bonus miles.
  • Allow up to 10 weeks for bonus miles to post

Conclusion

Pretty decent offer and you still earn the regular miles offered for the purchase.  It is like getting up to 4 additional miles per dollar on top of the regular payout for the purchase.
