There is a pretty amazing web special going on right now with American Airlines where you can fly transcon in business class for only 15,000 American Airlines miles one way. This is a discount of 10,000-17,500 from the regular price so if you had a trip upcoming you need to check it out!
Details of the Offer
American Airlines web specials just kind of pop up and are not publicized really like they are with Delta. Also remember that since these are coded as web specials you can not change the flights like you can on normal AA bookings (as long as departure and destination airport remain the same). This also means that they will not show up on partner’s sites, like British Airways, since they are not labeled as saver awards.

- SEA
- PHX
East Coast
- JFK
- MIA
- DCA
- EWR
- PHL
- ISP
Flights in-between these destinations should be showing the lower prices where available. The availability is showing all the way into April currently.
Final Thoughts
I guess you could say these web specials are the good side of American going to more dynamic pricing. If you find something that is in within the next few weeks remember that American Airlines no longer charges close in booking fees so that will save you $75 compared to normal as well.

If you scroll to several pages you will see flight on Rebuplic airlines for that amount
but certainly not AA
On the 12th I show a flight on AA in business for 15K. LAX to PHL on AA metal in an Airbus 321 – it is a redeye flight. Then you go onto Long Island airport from there on Piedmont Airlines which is one of AA’s regional partners.
I clicked through page by page loading each one with no results?
Can you send me a route and date where you are seeing phantom space and I can take a look at it for you.
I see it on the calendar however when you click on any of the 16K or 15K it doesn’t show it on the page?
AA doesn’t automatically show you the cheapest option first anymore so you have to sort it by price then you should see the options come up.

I just tried ALL routes from lax for 3 months and nothing showed up! Any ideas?
I show some for 16K to Miami in calendar view and some 15K to NYC airports in Feb & March. And some dates to PHL for 15K in Feb and March.
