American Transcon from $144

American Airlines has some ridiculously cheap transcon airfares to/from various cities. I was able to find rates as low as $144 from Las Vegas to New York, LaGuardia for example. Here are some of the routes available according to The Flight Deal.

Citi ThankYou

I am currently a Citi Prestige cardholder and love to use ThankYou points to book American Airlines flights at a value of 1.6 cents each. I am glad to say that I was able to purchase a $143.60 roundtrip itinerary from Las Vegas to Laguardia for 8,976 ThankYou points. I will earn back more than that in AAdvantage miles plus of course earn EQMs for the trip as well.

Conclusion

These are great fares that will not last long. As of the time of this publishing I have been able to verify fares for a number of the city pairs but space is going quickly. Remember that American will allow you to do a 24 hour hold if you book directly and Citi told me that Prestige cardholders can cancel their ThankYou bookings within 24 hours as well. Happy flying!

  2. Nice bro! Also, I totally hope you build out an instant deal alert system where fans can get instant SMS notifications on these crazy deals! I would pay to subscribe! Or maybe build out an app? Frequent Miler’s Quick Deals is nice, but its mostly Email and RSS. I guess monitoring your Twitter accounts w/ notifications work too, but its not deals only specific. Thanks man!
